MPNP Alert: Email is Retired—The New Mandatory Webform System is Here

If you are an applicant, employer, or representative currently navigating the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP), your communication strategy needs to change immediately.

As of March 2, 2026, the MPNP has officially retired its general-enquiry email inbox. To improve response times and streamline the backlog, the province has transitioned to a mandatory webform-only system for all English-language inquiries.

What Has Changed?

For years, email was the primary way to reach provincial officers. However, internal metrics showed that email congestion was a leading cause of nomination delays. To fix this, the MPNP now requires all communication to be filtered through specific digital forms.

Email Inquiries: Any new inquiries sent via email will no longer receive a response.

Legacy Emails: If you sent an email before March 2 and are still waiting, do not resubmit via the webform. The MPNP is processing older emails in the order they were received.

Francophone Applicants: If you are a French-speaking applicant, you may still use the traditional mailbox.

Which Webform Should You Use?

The "one-size-fits-all" approach is gone. You must now select the form that matches your specific stage in the process:

For Active Applications (File Number Required): If you already have a file number (e.g., MB####-######), use the Skilled Worker Webform. This is used for:

  • Notifying MPNP of an expiring work permit (within 45 days).
  • Requesting Work Permit Support Letters.
  • Updating personal information or employment changes.
  • Responding to Procedural Fairness Letters (PFL).

For General Inquiries or Active EOI Profiles: If you only have an Expression of Interest (EOI) and not a full application, you must use the general Contact Us form. Note that MPNP will not provide status updates on EOIs through this form.

The "Golden Rule" for March 2026

Do not use the webform to ask for a status update if your application has been in assessment for less than six months. The MPNP typically aims for a six-month assessment window; submitting "status check" requests before this time increases congestion for everyone and may lead to your inquiry being ignored.
